Ok, won't go into anything here, since a lot of you haven't finished. But, I loved it. Much to my surprise it got here on Thursday and I finished on Friday. I am so sad that it is over, hopefully she will relent and write more in the Twilight series. I LOVED THIS BOOK. I think I may have loved the first one the most, but this one was just different and satisfying.
So, for all those reading. Enjoy. I think I may have to start all over again. I don't know if I can make it without my Twilight fix.
Hopefully more of The Host series will come out soon.
Oh, Edward and Bella, what a great ending!

Jonesing for Breaking Dawn...

Ok, so my NYC post is going to be a longer one, but while I contemplate all to post, I am currently jonesing for my copy of Breaking Dawn to get here. I preordered clear back in April, thinking that it would be sitting in my mailbox on August 2, happily waiting for me to devour it. However, it shipped on the 2nd. My lord, can I make it until its scheduled delivery on Friday????? I may have to sleep over at my mailbox on the corner so I can start reading on the way back to my house. Of course as zoned out as I get when reading about Edward and Bella, I could walk right into the creek.
On this subject, while I was in Times Sqaure in NYC, I looked up at the Nokia Theater to see that Stephenie Meyer was going to be there at midnight on Friday, technically August 2, to release her book with a huge party. I wanted so badly to go, but it was sold out and we had to leave way early that morning. I can only imagine the mayhem surrounding the release there and so wish I could have said I was there. Oh well!
Ok, countdown until Friday. It better get here soon, I can't take it. I gotta know if they "do it" finally and if she goes through with becoming one of them. I can't wait.
So, if you have read it already, don't rub it in and don't spoil anything.

Don't let go of the rope!
T made his first attempt at wakeboarding this past Sunday at the dam. We have tried over and over to coax him into doing it. He finally decided he wanted to try and out he went. J had T put his legs on the board and J held the rope while T hung onto his legs. They went for quite awhile before T decided he had had enough. But, as he came in he had a grin from ear to ear. However, he insisted no more for the day, which was fine with me. But, later on he decided to try maybe just one more time before we went home. So, J decided to try something a little different this time with the handle and rope and what not. Anyhoo, T is holding the handle on the rope and daddy just held the rope, no handle. As soon as we started going, daddy lost his grasp on the rope, and so I thought T did too. To my surprise, there T was hanging on bouncing off the waves. I didn't get too much of it cause as soon as I saw it, as you will see (and hear, minor expletive muttered at the sight of T slamming through the water) in the footage, I dropped the camera down. Both me and his uncle were yelling at him "Let go of the rope, let go of the rope!" Finally, he released his white knuckle grip on the rope.
Well I thought for sure he would be freaking out and screaming, but as we pulled up next to him, we was laughing and cracking up. He asked if I got that on video and then proceeded to watch it 100 times, laughing everytime. He didn't want to get back out there, who can blame him, but he said he will go next time. So, way to go T! You did it! He couldn't wait to get home to tell his friends that he wakeboarded, and wakeboard he did!

Tim McGraw rocks USANA
Yee-Haw Cowboy!!
Amber and I were good girls, we didn't even rush the stage to grope him. ;-)
Check out the back view there ladies! Not too shabby!
He sang a few songs from his new album, I can't wait for its release. I loved them all. He, of course, sang some my favorites, but I wish he would have been out there longer, he performed for about an hour and a half.
Ok, the front view is not too bad either.
Good times! The pics are from our seats, what a view!
Can't wait for next year, hope he comes to USANA again, way better than the Delta Center.
Tim and the Warren Brothers singing their song they wrote, amazing in person. Two thumbs up on the show and well worth the money!

Vegas Baby...
We checked out the Las Vegas 51's, the AAA team of the Dodgers, and got to see an old Ogden Raptor playing there, Xavier Paul. People sure don't pack the house there like they do at the Bees games, even the Raptors have way more fans there. I guess too much other stuff to do in Vegas.
We checked out the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay that night, they had a live band karaoke, very cool and fun. As we were leaving the door guys gave us free passes to check out the Foundation Room at the very top of Mandalay Bay. It was packed wall to wall with people, but was a good time. When I say the very top of Mandalay Bay, I mean the VERY top. What a view of the whole strip from there. Crazy in there, I think the man to woman ration was like 50-1, at least, looked like a man convention.
The View from the Foundation Room!
Right in the center at the very top is the Foundation Room! Very cool hang out.
We ended up checking out Fremont Street the next day with Brent and Crissy. They were down there for their anniversary, so we hooked up and chowed on In and Out Burger, the best ever. We actually ate there 2 times in the 3 days we were there. It was one of the only reasons we rented a car, so we could go to In and Out. TOOOOOO GOOD. Double Double with fries and a shake. My mouth is watering just thinking of it now.
My favorite new hotel down there was the Palazzo. It was incredible and gorgeous. Plus, I won at War. Gotta love War, not much thinking to it. You can either win fast or lose fast, this time I won. It is amazing how much it has changed just in the few years since we were there. The Wynn was gorgeous, definitely for the adult crowd. They were building a city within a city right next to the Bellagio. It was unreal, it dwarfed everything else. Supposed to be done in 2010, the city center or something. Shops, condos, hotels, restaurants, everything you could want.
We went to the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana and saw the funniest comedian ever, John Roy. I actually saw him on Leno a little while ago and LMAO in bed while Jason was trying to sleep. We were all crying watching him in Vegas. He was hysterical. We met him afterward and bought his cd, well worth the $10. He has great material and is just all around funny.
The Comedian, John Roy at the Tropicana
Checked out the Hooters casino, you know for the wings. ;-) Anyway, it was small but pretty nice. Plus the guys won there, so what can you say. Hooters and money, doesn't get much better than that. We finished the night at New York, New York. We had the funniest dealer ever. The girl at our table was desperately trying to hit on and flirt with him. Not real subtle either. Amazing what you can learn about people sitting there gambling with them. WOW!
Well, that was Vegas in a nutshell. Hopefully this will be our annual trip, we walked away down $3 and had a great time. That never happens coming home WITH money.
Anyway, thanks to Brent and Crissy for inviting us, so glad we came down.
