Praise the Lord, I can See!

Ok, just a quick post, well I'll try, about my eyes. I had a girlfriend call today to see if I was now a pirate with a patch on, or blind, after my LASIK surgery. I am happy to report, I can see at least 20/20. YEAH! It is like looking through binoculars after so long not being able to see far away. I feel as though I need to wear my glasses anyway. My eyes are pretty dry and a little sore by the end of the day. I had some worry that night after the procedure, I had to go back up as I thought my tear ducts had exploded and I had a constant river running down my face. But, he said all was good and gave me more numbing drops. Wish I would have had my own supply of those. However, for usually having a high pain tolerance and not being too upset about surgeries, this one sucked for me. I knew I was a wimp when it came to my eyes, and major phobia does nothing to describe how I felt last Friday. However, I moaned and borderline whined through the entire procedure, which I was sure lasted 5 or 6 hours, apparently I was only in there for about 10 minutes. The nurse did tell me I did great, cause "we have had quite a few pass out, mostly men, " she told me. They couldn't have dragged me in there had she told me that before. I knew I was in trouble when I had the first Valium and all those around me were about passing out from the one, well not me, I had to have another and still chewed all my nails off waiting. I won't go into the details of the "procedure/torture fest" but I think this would be a good method of torturing prisoners. At one point they had to ask me to please put my feet back on the table, I think subconsciously (well maybe consciously) I was trying to run off. However, with the device stuck to my eye to pry it open, I wouldn't have made it too far. My doc was great and called me that night to see if we were still friends. Because by then I could almost pry my eyes open I told him we could still be friends, how could I say no, my vision could be better than 20/15.

NO MORE GLASSES!

Oh, where do I start? After 15 years of wearing glasses, most recently almost all the time, I am getting my eyes fixed. Yes, I am getting LASIK done on Friday to say I can't wait would be a HUGE understatement. A little apprehensive as I have a slight (okay major) phobia of people touching my eyes (ie. eyedrops or anything that requires me or anyone touching my eyes). I even get anxious putting on mascara. So, I am quite freaked out about the whole idea of my eye being pried open so I can't blink and so on. However, I have heard it is over fairly quickly, so thank goodness for that.

I probably wont be posting for a bit as apparently it makes your eyes dry out a lot afteward. But, the risk will definitely be worth the reward.

No more packing eyeglasses around with me, bring on the cute sunglasses!

Move over David Beckham

Tristan had his first soccer game yesterday and led his team to victory with three goals. We were so proud of him and he fell in love with the game. We spent the next three hours after his game searching for a goal to put in our backyard so he can practice, and practice he did. I don't mean to be a bragging mom, well I guess I do, but he was awesome. I posted his first goal here and he has delighted in watching it no less than 100 times already.

He is number 18 in the green in case any of you were wondering or didn't recognize him under his hat and glovies his mommy made him wear. Yes, that is his daddy proudly yelling in the background. I don't know if there are 2 more proud parents anywhere.

Next up, baseball season!

Here comes Spring...And trouble!

Thanks to a little break in the cold, the kiddies had to make sure their wheels were ready for another year. Brenley's looking sassy in her new Mustang she got for Christmas from Grandma Bev and Papa Rex. She is definitely one crazy woman driver. All she needs is a cell phone. Pedal to the metal baby.

The kids had a great time and thank goodness the Easter Bunny found our house. It was a close call, but the bunny stopped here.

Ok, so tooo cute not to post here. Kim and Brandon's adorable little miracle twin boys, Cash in the red and Cooper in the blue. They are totally just chillin' with the bunny, I love it. Gotta share the love here.
