The Tooth Fairy Makes a Visit...

Nothing like a toothless grin to make a momma misty eyed...

T lost his first tooth today at school. I'm a little sad he lost his first tooth and I wasn't there when it happened, I'm sure it won't be the only one of "THE FIRST'S" that I will miss, but nonetheless. He bit into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and out it came right in the sandwich, it then fell to the floor where there was a mad scramble for the tooth. Thank goodness someone in his class found it so he could safely pack it into a small little plastic tooth carrier. He couldn't get in the door fast enough to show me today. He was so excited to share with me and to call his daddy to tell him. He hadn't been able to eat very well because it was bothering him, now its gone, my grocery bill is going to rise. He has eaten nonstop today! I don't think I realized just how hungry this poor kid was...

"THE TOOTH"

His grandma gave him a dollar and as I was going to drop it in his piggy bank he yells, "no, don't put it in there. I want to give my dollar to the Tooth Fairy and write a letter to her to tell her to give it to another kid." My heart swelled with pride... Sometimes the stuff he comes up with just shocks me, in such a good way. We topped the exciting event off with two really cute "tooth fairy" books, which I wasn't sure he was going to like because of the "fairy". He loved them both and was cracking up at the thought of our dog getting the fairy tonight.

"THE LETTER"

Bring it on tooth fairy...

I have so much more to post, T starting 1st grade, making a comp baseball team (which included a trip to the Sports Authority to buy my baby an athletic supporter, gulp...)and more. We have been very busy and there is lots more to come. Updates for B and our fun, fast summer as well.

A little slice (er nibble) of heaven!

Okay, so this post is not about my kids at all. Well maybe they were the inspiration for my new favorite thing in the whole wide world, but it was me who did it and can't stop doing it...

Do I have you intrigued yet? I mean what could be so incredible that I can't stop myself from hoarding and then lying about them to my kids, "nope, don't know where they went"... hehehehe from inside my room, tucked under my covers popping one after another into my mouth. The cold explosion as I bite them in half and "uhhhh huuhhhh" there it is HEAVEN.

I wont keep you waiting anymore as to the secret identity of all this yummy goodness, grapes!

Ok grapes you say, "NO, not just any grapes, FROZEN GRAPES!"

I get them home from the store wash and let them dry completely and then pop them in the freezer and wait... and wait... and wait.... and. Well, you get the picture. I actually look forward to that first pop from the grape, it is so refreshing and for me so much better than cookies or sweets, which that is huge for me and my sweet tooth. I would eat these morning, noon and night if there weren't some major digestive repercussions I would later have to deal with. So for now, I eat in moderation the totally yummy goodness of the FROZEN GRAPES! Mmmm, gonna have to grab a few more before bed. Oh wait, no kids there aren't anymore! ;-)
Can someone get me my hubby to feed me my grapes.... you know all romantic like! Ya right!

Unassisted Double Play...

This is not the play... but from an earlier game! WOW! Tristan had an unassisted double play last night in his baseball game, he quite possibly could have had an unassisted triple play... He was playing shortstop when a pop fly was hit to him with bases loaded (they don't have the infield fly rule in his league) and he caught it (very nonchalantly I must add, need to work on the two hands) and of course all hell broke loose because in this league a catch is very rare, so all the runners were running. Well, there were no outs at the time, so Tristan always very aware of outs and runners and the little details in the game ran and touched second base and got the second out. I was so stinkin' proud of him, not just cause he caught it (he can catch) but because he knew there was another out to be made. He didn't celebrate his catch (well at least not until he got the second out) but kept cool and got the out at second.

I know I am a little bias, but the crowd did go wild at his play and I was beaming. Of course now he hasn't stopped talking about it...

He has been switch hitting this year... too fun!

Oh the places you'll go...

My kindergarten graduate!

What a handsome devil...

I have a full on first grader living in my house, where has the time gone? Last night we went to T's kindergarten graduation, what a riot. They sang their own version of "New York, New York".... too cute, which is posted below. His teacher, Ms. Lambson, was an incredible and sweet teacher, whom Tristan loved very much. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.

T and his teacher, Ms. Lambson (what a great teacher)

Getting his "diploma"

Of course I had tears in my eyes as I watched him sing and dance for everyone, he did such a good job and I must say was so handsome in his shirt and tie (a first for him).

So, my little boy is not so little anymore and will be entering "real school" next year, which he calls it because you get to eat lunch and everything there.

All the cousins...
Bren, Corbin, Tristan, Trace, Bailee and Marley

Papa Robert, Tristan, Grammy Pennie and Brenley
