Tim McGraw rocks USANA

I LIKE IT, I LOVE IT, I WANT SOME MORE OF IT...

Me and Amber at our annual trip to see Timmy! Thanks for going, you are my BFF and favorite concert buddy! Even though our hubbies complain, its amazing how many songs they know... I think they are closet listeners.

Yee-Haw Cowboy!!

Amber and I were good girls, we didn't even rush the stage to grope him. ;-)

Well, my first trip to USANA was well worth it. We made our annual trip to see Tim McGraw and once again, unbelievable. We pretty much skipped his opening acts of Halfway to Hazard and Jason Aldean, although the couple of songs I heard were pretty good. What a setting at USANA, gorgeous night and perfect seats. As we were trying to find our seats, the usher kept pointing us forward and the closer to the stage we got. As Amber said "I kept waiting for someone to tell us we are in the wrong seats." They were amazing and I swear he looked right at us, or maybe it was the pain the a** in front of us, who insisted on standing on her chair because in her words "I'm short." Oh ok, no problem, we will just stare at your butt the entire show, after all, that is what I paid for. Wrong! After arguing with her for the first two songs, she finally got off and stayed on the ground, poor her. I think she was convinced everytime Tim looked our way, he was looking at her. Besides her, it was a great concert.

Check out the back view there ladies! Not too shabby!
He sang a few songs from his new album, I can't wait for its release. I loved them all. He, of course, sang some my favorites, but I wish he would have been out there longer, he performed for about an hour and a half.

Ok, the front view is not too bad either.

Good times! The pics are from our seats, what a view!
Can't wait for next year, hope he comes to USANA again, way better than the Delta Center.

Tim and the Warren Brothers singing their song they wrote, amazing in person. Two thumbs up on the show and well worth the money!

Vegas Baby...

It was so nice to get away from here while the weather was a little too chilly for June. Not the case in sunny Vegas, like 99* while we were there. We stayed at the Luxor, which I had never stayed at, pretty nice. We were there for our anniversary and they were kind enough to bump us up to a players suite, pretty cool. I loved the pool, we hung out there and got fried the first day. Nothing like having our white trash sunburn the rest of the trip. The WSOP was going on at the Rio. We stopped in and sat on the front row of the $2500 no limit hold 'em final table, which was on ESPN. So, I think we were on tv. We stayed for awhile just checking out all the tables and the poker players. Hoping to see someone I actually knew, but no such luck. I guess the big final is in July.

We checked out the Las Vegas 51's, the AAA team of the Dodgers, and got to see an old Ogden Raptor playing there, Xavier Paul. People sure don't pack the house there like they do at the Bees games, even the Raptors have way more fans there. I guess too much other stuff to do in Vegas.

We checked out the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay that night, they had a live band karaoke, very cool and fun. As we were leaving the door guys gave us free passes to check out the Foundation Room at the very top of Mandalay Bay. It was packed wall to wall with people, but was a good time. When I say the very top of Mandalay Bay, I mean the VERY top. What a view of the whole strip from there. Crazy in there, I think the man to woman ration was like 50-1, at least, looked like a man convention.

The View from the Foundation Room!

Right in the center at the very top is the Foundation Room! Very cool hang out.

We ended up checking out Fremont Street the next day with Brent and Crissy. They were down there for their anniversary, so we hooked up and chowed on In and Out Burger, the best ever. We actually ate there 2 times in the 3 days we were there. It was one of the only reasons we rented a car, so we could go to In and Out. TOOOOOO GOOD. Double Double with fries and a shake. My mouth is watering just thinking of it now.

My favorite new hotel down there was the Palazzo. It was incredible and gorgeous. Plus, I won at War. Gotta love War, not much thinking to it. You can either win fast or lose fast, this time I won. It is amazing how much it has changed just in the few years since we were there. The Wynn was gorgeous, definitely for the adult crowd. They were building a city within a city right next to the Bellagio. It was unreal, it dwarfed everything else. Supposed to be done in 2010, the city center or something. Shops, condos, hotels, restaurants, everything you could want.
At the Palazzo Shops!

We went to the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana and saw the funniest comedian ever, John Roy. I actually saw him on Leno a little while ago and LMAO in bed while Jason was trying to sleep. We were all crying watching him in Vegas. He was hysterical. We met him afterward and bought his cd, well worth the $10. He has great material and is just all around funny.

The Comedian, John Roy at the Tropicana

Checked out the Hooters casino, you know for the wings. ;-) Anyway, it was small but pretty nice. Plus the guys won there, so what can you say. Hooters and money, doesn't get much better than that. We finished the night at New York, New York. We had the funniest dealer ever. The girl at our table was desperately trying to hit on and flirt with him. Not real subtle either. Amazing what you can learn about people sitting there gambling with them. WOW!

Well, that was Vegas in a nutshell. Hopefully this will be our annual trip, we walked away down $3 and had a great time. That never happens coming home WITH money.

Anyway, thanks to Brent and Crissy for inviting us, so glad we came down.

Fun at the Dam!

Daddy and the kiddies

Bren and her cousin Bailee and uncle Kev

T on flag duty

B posing for the camera

My daredevils on the tube

So, we just got a new boat and already the kids love it. We spent all weekend on the water and the kiddies found the joy of riding in the tubes. Brenley was the first to dare, of course, and then Tristan could not be outdone. They both went with daddy and then by themselves.

Tristan keeps telling us he is going to try wakeboarding, but I think Bren will have to go first. She is my daredevil. Although she may be somewhat of a girlie girl, she is a tomboy (thank goodness) deep down. She is my tough cookie and I love it.

Tristan will not be shown up by her, so they both keep trying to impress each other. Oh, good times.

The water level up there is incredible, we went just a few weeks ago and there was some beach, this past weekend no more beach.

In Memory of...

Just wanted to send a note to those I miss this Memorial Day. My Grandpa S., who passed away last fall. My Grandma K, who passed away in 1996. My Grandpa K, who passed away in 1988. My Uncle Brucie, who passed away in 2006. I miss you all and think of you so often. I hope you are all in a better place and can't wait to see you all again. Time passes too quickly and in the blink of an eye a year, or two, or 20 have passed. You are never forgotten.

Also, in memory of my loves grandparents. I never got the chance to meet his Grandma, but know from the stories what a wonderful woman she was. Also, his Grandpa, who passed away less than a year after we got together.

God Bless those we lost. I love you all!

Happy Memorial Day!

Bless those who are serving our country and all those who have lost their lives preserving my freedom. God Bless the USA! I love this country.

Tristan graduates Preschool, Look out Kindergarten

SINGING GOD BLESS AMERICA AND DOING A PERFECT JOB!

My little baby boy, without even asking me for permission, has grown up and right out of preschool. I don't think that I want him leaving. Preschool is so safe and still fun, where your biggest consequence is going to be whether or not he was good enough to make a macaroni necklace. His buddies at preschool will long be forgotton as he passes on to being a "big" kid at KINDERGARTEN. Wow, that is hard to say without yelling and freaking out. As I was sitting there in his kindergarten round up being told that k-garten now is not about the social, but about the academics, I got a tear in my eye at how quickly this all happens. One minute I am holding him in my arms and I am the coolest person in the world to "wow mom look at so and so, he is so cool he can pick his nose and flick it." While this is not based upon a real event, yet, I so dread the day that I have to drop him off around the corner and no more big kisses for him mom. I will be a bumbling mess, as if you cant tell by my rant here.

I do love this smart, smart and athletic boy so much. I want him to be a friend to ALL kids in his class, I want him to have an easy time in school, I want him to be kind and compassionate, I want him to be happy and enjoy school and have respect for his teachers. He has so much potential and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his spirit, his energy, his stubborness, his strength in who he is already and his conviction of who he is.

HIS XYLOPHONE SOLO!!!

God BLess my Baby Always! Because no matter how old and tall and strong he will get, he will always be my baby. (Please dont sing that last line to Mariah Carey).

So, here he is graduating and performing for us. My favorite moments, which I didn't capture so well, was everytime it was his turn or he got to do something, he turned to look at me with a smile that overtook his whole face and love beamed out of me so strong.

So, there ya be, the sappy mom tribute to her most beautiful boy!

Congratulations Big Guy, You are my love and my life!

SaVe ThE HoOhAs

Go TeAm HoOhAs!

Our team rocked the walk, with over 55 people signed up on our team, we raised over $800 to go to the Komen for the Cure. What a wonderful experience that was witnessed today, so many impressive people of all kinds (moms, dads, kids, grandmas and grandpas, pets, babies, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandkids and the list goes on and on) coming together to find a cure for breast cancer. Look at these great women below, it is estimated that one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and one woman will die of it every 13 minutes. In the U.S., a woman has about a 12 percent, or one in eight, lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.

Thanks to our team we raised money to help find treatments and prevent deaths among us. Thanks ladies for a great and memorable time and race. Over 17,000 people showed up to support Komen for the Cure on Saturday at the Gateway, what a great showing we had in memory of Allison Christensen.

Our Team, minus half. We had 55 total sign up.
